About Trusted Services
This page is about Trusted Services and how it works. We list one local tradesperson per trade in each area. So when you need a plumber, an electrician or a cleaner, you call that local pro directly.
What we do
One local pro per trade, per area
Most trade sites send your job to several traders at once. We do it differently: each page has one local pro, and your call goes only to them.
Each page lists one local pro for a trade and area. So you call them directly, or request a call back. There’s no bidding and no chasing quotes, and using Trusted Services is free. The pro sets their own prices and agrees the job with you.
Each trader gets their own page for their trade and area. Customers who find that page contact only them. Also, there’s no commission and no fee per lead.
Before a page goes live, we check the trader’s ID, insurance and any registrations their trade needs. For example, gas work needs Gas Safe registration.
More about Trusted Services
How it works for you
- First, find the page for your trade and area.
- Then call the local pro on that page, or request a call back.
- After that, the pro gives you a quote and agrees the job with you.
We don’t take a cut of the job, and we don’t pass your details to other traders.
How we check traders
Before a trader’s page goes live, we check their photo ID, proof of address and public liability insurance. We also check any registration their trade needs. For example, anyone doing gas work must be on the Gas Safe Register. Similarly, electricians doing notifiable work should appear on the Electrical Competent Person Register. Still, it’s worth asking the pro to show you their card or registration when they arrive.
Trades across the UK
Trusted Services covers the whole of the UK. We list plumbers, electricians, locksmiths, handymen, cleaners, roofers and other trades, with one local pro for each trade in each area. If there’s no page for your area yet, request a local pro and tell us where you are.
